I am a works-on-paper artist using ink, watercolor and sometimes string, ribbons and other materials to make meticulously detailed abstract drawings, collages, and “paperworks” that incorporate various techniques of hand made bookmaking.  I almost always produce a series of works exploring a particular topic, and call upon a limited array of repetitive marks (scribble, lines, dots, tiny circles). My work is process driven, meditative. When I play with a new idea, my rational mind is always playing catch-up to my intuition.  I am drawn to the push-pull of order vs chaos, energy vs. entropy, control vs. spontaneity. Grids lure my eye and hand like moth to flame.

Before I moved to Westchester from New Jersey, my work was included in “America Through Artists Eyes” at the State Museum in Trenton, and “Jersey Women Artists Now” at Montclair State College. Here, I am on the Board of the Mamaroneck Artists Guild in Larchmont and my work has been selected for Art of the Northeast (AoNE) at Silvermine Arts in New Canaan, CT, as well as a number of regional juried shows.
