Artist Statement

My artwork is a combination of abstract, organic and expressive geometric compositions.  Inspiration and ideas are found in natural elements, urban landscapes, changing seasonal colors, and everyday interior settings.  My art is layered, color rich, and process oriented.
My process involves connecting my feelings to the physical energy of the visual world of shapes, line, color and form.  I work intuitively as I seek to find the meaning in my art. Searching for the unexpected I allow the art to unfold as my observations and emotions connect.  When the artwork starts to speak clearly, and the parts and pieces fall into place, the artwork begins to take shape.
